My passion is for harnessing cultural heritage to create more value for more people. To do this we need to know the purpose of the places or collections we care for. What are they for? Who are they for? What difference can they make?
Organisations must respond to a dramatically changing world. There is an urgent need to explore what unites us - and what makes us different; to know oneself better and to be curious about others. This is the role of the arts and cultural heritage.
To do this we must scrutinise purpose, focus activities and ensure we are sustainably fit for purpose - whilst remaining agile and responsive.
I have extensive experience of developing relevant, innovative and sustainable models of engagement for cultural organisations as part of a change process. My specialism is helping you define your purpose and values and how these translate into activity, structures and ways of working.
My approach is inclusive and collaborative, in the knowledge that change does not come out of a drawer, but it grown based on research, participation, consultation, scrutiny – and a big pinch of imagination.
